The actor and songstress who crooned for a version of the film’s song has also decided to sing for the upcoming film’s background score.
Shradhha Kapoor is on a high! After crooning for a soulful and melodious version of Ek Villain‘s number Galliyaan the actor has been roped in yet again by director Mohit Suri and music composer Raju Singh to lend her voice for the background score of the film.

At an event recently, Shradhha was seen sporting headphones, carefully listening to the gripping background score created by the singer-composer Raju Singh as she was requested by him and Mohit to add her voice to the score. Shraddha was dressed casually for the event in a cool tank top teamed with a casual denim shirt and printed harem pants. We loved how she finished off her look with the chunky silver loop earrings and brown leather Oxford shoes.
Shraddha will be seen alongside Sidharth Malhotra in an interesting role in this one. We are eagerly looking forward to Ek Villain‘s score and the film!

Raju Singh's surprise for buddy Hansal Mehta - Kollytalk.com!!
It was a familial moment for singer-composer Raju Singh when he surprised his friend of two decades, director Hansal Mehta with a cake-cutting to celebrate his birthday when Hansal and actor Rajkummar Rao came for the background score recording of City Lights to Raj Singh’s Juhu studio.
Says Raju, “two nights ago, I was invited to a party to celebrate the National Award of Shahid. I reach there and realise it is Hansal’s birthday party. Cake-cutting to banta tha. But I generally tend to shy away from celebrations myself. So I surprised him with a cake-cutting at home. More than me, it was my wife Sherley’s idea and Hansal being an old friend, it meant a lot to all of us.”
Hansal was touched. “a background score means a lot to any film. A bad one can spolit it and a good ones lend more strength to the scene. I can easily rely on Raju as I know what magic he can do to a film,” enthused Hansal, enjoying the chocolate cake.
Rajkummar naturally was elated. “we have worked hard on the film. I love it when Hansal involves me in every aspect. As an actor, there is a lot of learning to do. And off course, the perks are that once in a while, you get some amazing cake to sample,” he grins.
Interestingly, Raju Singh, besides composing has lent his voice to some of the most amazing songs, the recent one being from Rooh Mein… picturised on the late Farooq Sheikh for Club 60 and Zabaan Jale Hai… for Naseeruddin Shah for Dedh. Ishqiya among others.

After the hit Galiyaan, Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi Kolhapure's 25-year old daughter, Shraddha Kapoor, has returned to the mic once again.
She finished in two hours. That was exactly how long it had taken her to record Galiyaan.
The film's director Mohit Suri explained the scenes to Shraddha in detail before she took to the microphone."It was challenging for her as Mohit wanted to use the alaaps in emotional scenes," said a source.
Speaking about her second singing assignment, Shraddha says that Mohit called last week and told her that he now wanted her to lend her voice to the background score. "I don't know whether those alaaps will be used in the first half of the movie or post interval. But I still haven't got over the fact that Mohit is asking me to do so much in the film," said the actress.
Shraddha who is not a trained singer and has only sung once in a school adaptation of Grease, adds, "I am overwhelmed by the response to Galiyaan. I had asked Mohit during Aashiqui 2 to let me sing. When he called me for Galiyaan, I thought he wanted me to sing just a few lines but I ended up giving playback for the whole song and now there's this. He has given me so much!" Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the upcoming romantic-thriller starring Siddharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in main roles, will open on June 27.
