The opening act of DLF IPL 5, a recitation of a Prasoon Joshi poetry by Amitabh Bachchan, titled "Janm yadi phir se mile", an ode to the cricket lovers of the country, was performed in Chennai in 3rd April, 2012 in Chennai.
The music track was composed by Raju Singh, with Tamil vocals by Sowmya Raoh. The Tamil lyrics were written by Vijay Raghavan.
The act was choreographed by Shaimak Davar. The event was designed by Wizcraft International..
